DESCRIPTION:Among a winter wonderland with deep snow and crystal clear air\, 140 teams will meet for the International Sled Dog Race. \n\n\n\nThe track in Kandersteg is very popular among participants due to its Nordic character. In recent years\, sled dog racing has established itself in the Alpine region\, attracting more and more visitors. \n\n\n\nThe race will start at the bottom of the Allmenalp cable car. Imagine some 120 dogs taking off in the various categories\, including in teams of two to eight dogs. There is also the discipline of skijoring where the handler on skis is being pulled by a dog. \n\n\n\nThe admission price for one day is 10 francs or 12 francs for both days. You will see some serious rugged men with pipes in their mouths\, going down the hill on wooden sledges like there is nothing more normal to do. \nThe massive Hori sledge\, once used as an everyday vehicle for mountain farmers to transport heavy goods\, now is used for a more fun purpose. The Hori sledge race is the time when you can see this interesting means of transportation being used to be fast - or last! \n \nAnd do not just stand there – rent a sledge yourself and rush down from the nearby Faulhorn to Grindelwald on the longest sledge track in the world (15 km)! \nTake the Postauto bus from Schwarzwaldalp to the top of the race track (last bus leaves at 11:30 AM). Motorsports returns to Switzerland - and this time it is with a twist. \nWith the future in mind and sustainability at the core of it\, Zürich has now entered an elite company of global cities to have hosted the FIA Formula E Championship. The residents and fans will get to witness twenty electric cars racing on the 2.46 km circuit which starts at the Enge Harbor next to Lake Zurich. \nWhat to expect on the day of the Formula E Championship race\nThough the actual race is taking place on June 10\, there will be loads of activities on Saturday at the Allianz E-Village (open from noon until 8 PM). The entry is free\, and you can check some of the cool things related to sustainability and electric car racing. On the race day itself\, the action begins from 9 AM with practice sessions\, followed by qualifying rounds starting at 2 PM. \nThe actual race will start at 6:04 PM\, and by 7 PM\, the race and prize distribution will conclude. \nHere is a visualization of the race track:\n\n \nThere are VIP tickets available for purchase. SUMMARY:Lenzerheide Motor Classics
DESCRIPTION:On a warm weekend in June\, the mountain resort of Lenzerheide fills up with car enthusiasts that come here from close and far. Everyone wants to see shiny classics rolling and hear engines roaring. \nThis year\, the 5th Lenzerheide Motor Classics will present around 110 vintage cars and historic automobiles built until 1993\, as well as 20 unique racing motorbikes and trailers. The race is rather more about the looks and performance (perhaps\, also about noise) than about speed. \n \nThe nostalgic vehicles and the beautiful setting with a mirroring lake and the mountains of Graubünden make a picture perfect combination from any angle of the racing track. During the weekend\, the drivers will spend about 2 hours on the 2.45 km long track.
