SUMMARY:Lenzerheide Motor Classics
DESCRIPTION:On a warm weekend in June\, the mountain resort of Lenzerheide fills up with car enthusiasts that come here from close and far. Everyone wants to see shiny classics rolling and hear engines roaring. \nThis year\, the 5th Lenzerheide Motor Classics will present around 110 vintage cars and historic automobiles built until 1993\, as well as 20 unique racing motorbikes and trailers. The race is rather more about the looks and performance (perhaps\, also about noise) than about speed. \n \nThe nostalgic vehicles and the beautiful setting with a mirroring lake and the mountains of Graubünden make a picture perfect combination from any angle of the racing track. During the weekend\, the drivers will spend about 2 hours on the 2.45 km long track. For the second time in Zürich\, PHOTO LAUNDRY is picking up that custom with a very fun photo gallery. \nOn June 5\, photographers of all ages and from all walks of life will come together in an interactive street photo exhibition and exchange. The name PHOTO LAUNDRY hints at the simple concept behind this photo exhibit: Photographers will get a platform to display their projects and will get education on tricks of the trade by industry experts. \nThe exhibition will feature photographs taken on analog and digital cameras. Works will be themed according to four popular genres: Street/urban photography\, landscape/nature photography\, macro photography and abstract photography. \nThe original idea was born in St Petersburg\, Russia\, in 2010. Since then\, similar events have been organized in over 100 Russian cities and in Europe\, attracting more than 45’000 participants. \nTo participate\, bring at least one printed or developed picture to hang on the laundry line. \nThis event is organized by the Photo International Club Zurich (PICZ). The imposing project\, symbolizing Swiss values such as innovation\, precision and reliability\, will be there to stay for generations further on.\n  \nThis June 4 and 5\, you can be a part of history at the important and long awaited moment of the tunnel’s opening.\nThe official opening takes place on Wednesday\, June 1\, with media and around 1000 guests invited. During the following weekend of June 4 and 5\, a unique festival program awaits everyone at different places around the tunnel entrances. You can sweep through the tunnel for the first time with a shuttle train\, reaching up to 200 km/h\, see presentations of Swiss artists and visit the multimedia exhibition on the Gotthard. \n \nSwiss rail will provide special event trains during the weekend. Just a word of caution\, though: Be prepared for busy and full trains on the way to the event happenings. \nThere is a special ticket which gives you a 30% discount off your train journey from your home town to the festival sites.
