SUMMARY:Wise Hearts: The Beauty of Aging Dogs (Photography)
DESCRIPTION:There are dogs who have walked beside their families for a decade or more. They might be greying at the muzzle\, are slower on the stairs\, but are no less present in the heart of a home. \n\n\n\nWise Hearts: The Beauty of Aging Dogs\, Celebrated Through Portraits and Love Letters is a fine art photography exhibition that asks us to pause\, look closely\, and recognize the quiet magnificence of growing old together. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Story Behind the Lens\n\n\n\nHeather Ennis of Mont Blanc Photography has reached out to us about her exhibit\, and we loved the idea. While we never had a pet dog\, we did have a cat who turned 17 years of age. So\, the idea of honoring senior pets through photography really resonated with me. \n\n\n\nWith Wise Hearts\, Heather turned her lens toward senior dogs from across western Switzerland. The collection of photographs is very diverse\, but has a shared emotional connector. \n\n\n\nEach portrait is accompanied by a handwritten love letter from the dog's family. Exhibited side by side\, photographs and words form an intimate display of devotion. \n\n\n\n"Grace" (Copyright Mont Blanc Photography/Heather Ennis)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Story That Will Stay With You\n\n\n\nAmong the exhibition's most powerful narratives is that of Grace\, a small black Labrador who suffered devastating spinal injuries following a road accident. When euthanasia was being considered\, Oasis des vétérans in Vaulruz stepped in\, committing to a long and painstaking rehabilitation programme. \n\n\n\nGrace was eventually adopted by a Swiss cop and today lives with permanent disability. By all accounts\, she lives happily ever after... \n\n\n\nHer story is about survival\, but also about what becomes possible when people choose not to give up. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupport for Oasis des Vétérans\n\n\n\nAccording to Heather\, a portion of all print and book sales at the exhibit will directly benefit Oasis des vétérans. This organisation offers a refuge to senior cats and dogs\, ensuring they receive the dignified\, love-filled retirement they deserve. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPractical Information\n\n\n\n\nExhibition dates: March 21–27\, 2026\n\n\n\nLocation: Au Temps Qui Passe\, Rte de Coinsins 1\, 1272 Genolier\, Vaud\n\n\n\nVernissage: March 21 (Ticketed due to limited gallery capacity)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGenolier sits just above the shores of Lake Geneva\, so it's easily reachable from Lausanne\, Geneva or Nyon. \n\n\n\nBuy tickets to the vernissage \n\n\n\nAnd purchase the book that accompanies the show \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhether you arrive as a dog owner\, a photography enthusiast\, or simply someone who appreciates storytelling done with care\, Wise Hearts is the kind of exhibition that lingers long after you've left the gallery. \n\n\n\nCome and meet the dogs. Read the letters. And perhaps leave with a new appreciation for everything that grows more beautiful with time.

This Tony Award-winning production\, inspired by Baz Luhrmann's cinematic masterpiece\, delivers an explosion of artistry and acting. \n\n\n\nFor us internationals in Switzerland\, this English-language musical offers an invitation to immerse ourselves in a world of pure\, unadulterated entertainment. I still remember watching the Moulin Rouge movie for the first time - and I was truly dazzled! \n\n\n\nNow\, I’m very curious to find out whether the critics were right… They’ve touted this musical to be an exhilarating spectacle unlike any other. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Moulin Rouge The Musical\n\n\n\nMoulin Rouge The Musical is based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film of the same name\, starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The story follows Christian\, a young writer who falls in love with Satine\, the star of the Moulin Rouge\, amidst the backdrop of the Montmartre district of Paris in the late 19th century. \n\n\n\nWith ten Tony Awards\, Moulin Rouge The Musical has sold out many times the world over! \n\n\n\nNow\, as it makes its Swiss debut\, Zurich's Theater 11 becomes the hottest ticket in town\, promising to unite internationals from all walks of life in a shared experience of music\, drama\, and sheer extravaganza. \n\n\n\nIn short: It will make anyone who’s not at Theater 11 feel the FOMO! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSince its release\, Moulin Rouge! has had a significant impact on pop culture. (Note the exclamation mark in the official name!) It has popularized the concept of mashup music\, blending classics and modern hits. This approach has since inspired a wave of other musicals and movies. \n\n\n\nDon't miss this opportunity to experience the magic of Moulin Rouge The Musical in Zurich. Book your tickets now\, and see you at the show! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCopyright musical.ch\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrequently Asked Questions\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n How can I secure tickets for Moulin Rouge The Musical? For more information and to purchase tickets\, head straight to Ticketcorner. With popular shows such as this\, I always advise to book tickets early to avoid missing out on the good seats. \n \n \n \n \n \n How long is the show? The entire musical performance runs approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes\, including an interval. \n \n \n \n \n \n What are the best seats to book at Theater 11?We always prefer middle seats in the middle section. For Moulin Rouge\, we've read that the "Can Can" seats way up front offer some fun interactions with the cast. However\, you may need to stretch your neck a bit...Middle seats in the front section still provide good interaction without being too intense. And as with most musicals\, the front of the mezzanine/balcony section offers excellent views to appreciate the choreography. \n \n \n \n \n \n What is the recommended age for the show? The musical is recommended for audiences aged 12 and older. This is due to the mature themes and some suggestive content\, which may not be suitable for younger children. \n \n \n \n \n \n Are there any language concerns? Is it all in French? No worries! Moulin Rouge The Musical is entirely in English. But even for non-native English speakers\, the storyline is easy to follow and the music is universal. So\, regardless of your language proficiency\, the visual storytelling and iconic music allows you to sit back and follow along... \n \n \n \n \n \n What time should I arrive at Theater 11?We always recommend arriving at Theater 11 a bit early to enjoy the pre-show atmosphere. Take a moment to appreciate the venue and mingle with fellow attendees. Some may even be dressed to the occasion! \n \n \n \n \n \n Will there be a dress code?No\, there's no strict dress code for Moulin Rouge. But we can imagine that more than a few people will dress up\, adding to the excitement of the evening. So\, feel free to dress in a way that makes you feel special and part of the occasion.

SUMMARY:Klausjagen Procession (St. Nicholas Chase) in Küssnacht am Rigi
DESCRIPTION:Some might say that the Swiss are reserved and that Christmas is a quiet time. The eve of St. Nicholas Day tells another story. \n\n\n\nOn December 5\, the streets of Küssnacht am Rigi fill up with thousands of people\, lights go down\, and the noise goes up as the impressive Klausjagen procession makes its way through the town. This event is about "chasing" the Swiss colleague of Santa\, the Samichlaus. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKlausjagen is one of Europe's best-kept secrets of St. Nicholas Day traditions.\n\n\n\nOver a thousand people become a part of the traditional procession every year. Some are cutting the air with swirling whips; others are wearing gigantic\, ornate paper lanterns (Iffelen)\, and hundreds of men are rhythmically clanging huge cowbells and blowing cow horns. Right in the middle of all the happenings\, spectators see St. Nicholas himself. And if your kids have behaved this year\, they can expect a treat from one of the accompanying Schmutzlis. \n\n\n\nThe long history of the Middle Ages and the considerable number of participants and spectators make Klausjagen one of the most noteworthy St. Nicholas Day traditions in Europe. \n\n\n\nThe procession begins at 8:15 PM on the Seebodenstrasse. There is also a children's procession earlier that day at 2:15 PM (it starts at the Reformierte Kirche Hofstrasse). \n\n\n\n(Photograph copyright Matthias Zepper/Wikipedia)

SUMMARY:The traditional Onion Market in Bern - Zibelemärit
DESCRIPTION:Copyright Bern Tourismus\n\n\n\nAt the end of the chilly month of November\, Bern wakes up to the annual Onion Market. \n\n\n\nEvery fourth Monday in November\, this traditional market in praise of the humble little vegetable takes brightens up the (still dark) old town of Bern. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Onion Market is the one time of the year Bern goes bunkers over onions.\n\n\n\nHere's what the atmosphere at the Onion Market is like: you will see tons of perfected onion tresses all around. There is the smell of mulled wine\, garlic bread\, and onion pies in the air. There is confetti covering the streets (and the people.) And now and then\, you might be softly hit by a squeaky hammer. \n\n\n\nThe masses of onions in this market are unbelievable. In 2015\, there were nearly 60 tons of onions for sale on the single day the market takes place. \n\n\n\nThe market takes place in the old town of Bern between the train station and the Bundesplatz. \n\n\n\nThe best way to embrace this popular and very down-to-earth tradition is to put on your peppermint sugar bead necklace and stroll among the busy streets of Bern until dawn. Countless stands not only offer onions but different local delicacies and crafts. \n\n\n\nOur advice: visit the Onion Market even before 6 AM to avoid the crowds. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNext level: for the truly brave\, the traditional Zibeleschwümme (Onion Swim) takes place on the Sunday before the market. At 1 PM at the Schönausteg\, watch the daredevil swimmers immerse in the bitterly cold Aare river.

SUMMARY:Bellinzona Autumn Festival & Cheese Market
DESCRIPTION:The Bellinzona Autumn Festival & Cheese Market is a two-day happening in the heart of Bellinzona. \n\n\n\nThis is a well-deserved celebration of cheese and wine: the farmers have tirelessly worked the alpine pastures and vineyards all summer. SUMMARY:Sechseläuten 2025 Parade in Zurich: Details and Insights
DESCRIPTION:Copyright Cloudia Chen\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSechseläuten (pronounced: zeks-e-loy-ten) is a traditional spring holiday in Zurich that takes place on the third Monday of April. This year\, it falls on April 21\, 2025. \n\n\n\nTo outsiders\, this Zurich spring festival is best described as a kind of Groundhog Day. The protagonists? Camels\, a parade of men in medieval costumes on horseback\, and a snowman with an explosive head. \n\n\n\nThe name Sechseläuten literally means "the six o'clock ringing of the bells." It dates back to a medieval tradition when the city's guilds would switch from winter to summer working hours. During winter\, work would end when the church bells rang at 5 PM\, but in summer\, the workday would extend until 6 PM. \n\n\n\nToday\, Sechseläuten is celebrated with a colorful parade of Zurich's traditional guilds and the burning of the Böögg\, a snowman effigy symbolizing winter. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSunday: Sechseläuten Children's Parade\n\n\n\nSunday is dedicated to children with the traditional children's parade (Kinderumzug). The parade begins at 2:30 PM\, taking spectators on a historical journey through Zurich's different time periods and history. It features music groups\, wagons\, animals\, and children in historical costumes or traditional dress. \n\n\n\nThe parade is accompanied by the opening group from the guest canton\, various youth music groups and guild bands\, as well as numerous carriages and wagons\, all drawn by horses. The Böögg snowman marks the end of the children's parade. \n\n\n\nCopyright Cloudia Chen\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAny child can participate in the children's parade – the only requirement is a historical costume or traditional dress. Online registrations for costume rentals usually open a couple of months before Sechseläuten in late February. \n\n\n\nAt the end of the parade\, children meet at the Kongresshaus for Zvieri before being picked up by their parents. This afternoon snack is included in the participation fee. \n\n\n\nCopyright Cloudia Chen\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSunday: Meeting the Guest Canton on Lindenhof\n\n\n\nDuring Sechseläuten\, the Lindenhof becomes the "Place of Cantons." Since 1991\, the anniversary year of the Swiss Confederation\, the Zurich guilds have invited a Swiss canton to Sechseläuten each year. \n\n\n\nThe guest canton presents itself on the Lindenhof\, an elevated square in the middle of the city. By inviting a guest canton\, Zurich maintains strong relationships with other parts of Switzerland. And for the cantons\, the appearance at Sechseläuten in Zurich represents a platform to present their best foods\, tourism offerings\, and traditions. \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, the guest canton is Zug. At Lindenhof\, they will have exhibitions and shops\, entertainment and food\, Zug specialties such as Chriesiwurst (cherry sausage)\, Walchwiler mountain cheese\, cherry cake\, Baar beer\, and Etter cherry schnapps. There will also be an exhibition titled "Cherries\, Crypto & Clichés." \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSechseläuten Monday Parade and Böögg Burning\n\n\n\nOn Sechseläuten Monday\, the festivities begin early with cannon shots at 7 AM. Throughout the morning\, various traditional activities take place across the city\, including the throwing of bread rolls at Grossmünsterplatz\, mortar firing on the Gemüsebrücke\, and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Hans Waldmann monument. \n\n\n\nMost workers are released by 2 PM for the Sechseläuten parade of floats. The main parade begins at 3 PM\, featuring over 350 riders\, around 50 horse-drawn wagons\, and nearly 30 music corps marching along Bahnhofstrasse and Limmatquai to Sechseläutenplatz. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach float is designed and built by a different guild\, and each guild tries to outdo the others with its creative and intricate designs. The floats are made of wood and paper mache and decorated with flowers\, lanterns\, and other colorful decorations. \n\n\n\nOne of the most exciting parts of the Sechseläuten parade is the burning of the Böögg. The Böögg is a large\, wooden snowman set on fire at the end of the parade. \n\n\n\nAt 6 PM sharp\, the bonfire topped by a snowman is torched\, and the count is on: How long will it take for the head to explode? According to local legend\, the faster the Böögg burns\, the better the summer will be. The burning of the Böögg is a symbol of the arrival of spring and the end of winter. \n\n\n\nWhile the snowman is ablaze\, mounted guild members ride around the burning pyre three times to the sounds of traditional marches. After the Böögg explodes\, the guilds retreat to their guild houses for dinner and celebration\, often continuing late into the night. \n\n\n\nCopyright Cloudia Chen\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeanwhile\, you will find many locals who will meet up at the bonfire in front of the opera house for a down-to-earth tradition. The "common people" of Zürich will BBQ sausages in the gigantic fire and have a drink! \n\n\n\nZürich’s Sechseläuten festival through a professional lensWhat the Sechseläuten tradition in Zürich is all about\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHistory of the Sechseläuten Parade\n\n\n\nThe Sechseläuten parade has a long history that dates back to the 16th century. It is said that the parade was originally organized to mark the end of winter and the arrival of spring. The parade was also a way for the people of Zurich to show off their wealth and prosperity\, as each float was designed and built to reflect the wealth and status of the participating guilds.

SUMMARY:Santa Claus Address - St. Niklaus Exodus (Lucerne)
DESCRIPTION:One of the most impressive Santa Claus appearances takes place in Lucerne. \nFor more than 100 years\, a traditional St. Niklaus has appeared in front of Lucerne's Hofkirche to address the community. We have witnessed this spectacle before\, and sure enough: At the strike of 17:00 o'clock\, the large wooden door opens and dozens of Santa's helpers appear. \nFrom gnomes to singers and herald's trumpets\, they all line up on the large stairs leading up to the church. Finally\, Santa Claus in his catholic outfit takes up his position at the top of the stairs. From his book\, Santa Claus will read a story for listeners of all ages. \nAfter the conclusion of his appearance\, Santa Claus will walk through the crowds of on-lookers in order to visit the children who live in Lucerne's old town. \nThe freaky yet exciting part about this event is what comes next...\nSantas' Schmutzli helpers will use their whips on the visitors. And those who decide to make a run for them will get chased even more! It is really worth sticking around in front of the Hofkirche for a while to experience this crazy tradition...

SUMMARY:Illuminarium Light Festival in Zürich 2029
DESCRIPTION:By now\, the Illuminarium Light Festival in Zürich is an institution. \n\n\n\nShorter days with longer nights equal more reasons to hang out at Christmas markets... As such\, we are very glad that the Illuminarium Light Festival once again sparks joy in the courtyard of the Swiss National Museum. \n\n\n\nConveniently located at the Zurich main station\, this is more than a Christmas market: it's rather a festival grounds of colorful illuminations\, food and beverage vendors\, music\, and light projections. There are fondue stalls\, attractions\, and an eclectic bar. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2023 Highlights of the Illuminarium Light Festival\n\n\n\nFrom November 9 to December 30\, the (otherwise quiet) courtyard of the Landesmuseum is spreading the holiday spirit. Simply step through the large gate into this admission-free Christmas Wonderland. There\, you will find various vendors offering everything from mulled wine to cotton candy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe especially like the indoor bar with its living room atmosphere. The stylists have obviously put a lot of thought into the decorations\, which made us feel "at home" while sipping on a generous 14-franc Hendrick's Gin & Tonic. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom prior years\, we know that Illuminarium Zurich can get very busy as the after-work crowds gather. So\, the earlier you can get there to reserve a standing table or lounge\, the better... Seats at the indoor Fondue Palace should be reserved in advance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCyberCity offers an immersive digital experience on the World Wide Web. Using advanced projectors\, the Digital Art Show transforms the museum walls into a gigantic virtual canvas. Contemporary electronic music adds to the atmosphere of this digital universe\, which can be enjoyed for an admission of roughly 10 francs. \n\n\n\nIn another admission-only area located a bit off to the side of the courtyard\, there is a nightly projection of a Christmas story featuring Yuki. The main character is a sort of cyclope yeti who will surely steal your heart. \n\n\n\nThe larger-than-life story is projected onto three building surfaces of the Swiss National Museum. We found it very clever how the architectural features of the buildings were incorporated into the projections. \n\n\n\n(Narrated entirely in Swiss German\, Yuki's story is definitely targeted at younger crowds. As for us\, we felt a bit underwhelmed after the 15-minute show.) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGood to know:\n\n\n\n\nLocated at the courtyard of the Swiss National Museum in Zurich.\n\n\n\nTake the "Landesmuseum" exit at the Zurich Main Station or get off the tram at "Bahnhofquai/HB" and walk a few steps to the entrance.\n\n\n\nChildren aged 0 to 5 enjoy free admission.\n\n\n\nIt's open rain or shine\, so show up with warm\, weather-resistant clothing.\n\n\n\nThe festival is entirely cashless\, so bring your cards or digital wallets.\n\n\n\n\nCheck out our listing of Swiss Christmas markets.

SUMMARY:Nuts about chestnuts? Visit the Ascona Chestnut Festival!
DESCRIPTION:If you are nuts about chestnuts\, there is no way around visiting the Ascona Chestnut Festival! \n\n\n\nKnown as the Festa delle Castagne in Italian\, this festival celebrates the sweet chestnut\, locally referred to as marroni. The locals roasting them over the open fire are called maronatts in the Ticino dialect. \n\n\n\nThis daylong castagnata is held in one of our all-time favorite places in Ticino\, the charming lakeside town of Ascona. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Tradition of Chestnut Roasting\n\n\n\nOne of the festival's highlights is the tradition of roasting chestnuts in huge pans over open fires. Local experts known as maronatts work tirelessly to infuse these chestnuts with that irresistible smoky flavor. \n\n\n\nThe tantalizing scent of wood-burning fires permeates the air\, setting the stage for a mouthwatering experience. \n\n\n\nThe queue for these roasted marroni can be quite long and may lead you through a thick cloud of roasting smoke\, but the experience is worth the wait. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect at the Ascona Chestnut Festival\n\n\n\nAscona\, located in the heart of Ticino\, Switzerland\, offers the perfect backdrop for a fall celebration. With crisp October air\, gentle sunshine\, and minimal precipitation\, it's the ideal time to explore the festival. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarket stalls along the Ascona lakefront showcase locally crafted gifts\, ranging from handmade jewelry and wooden kitchen utensils to toys and clothing. SUMMARY:Sagra della Castagna Chestnut Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Sagra della Castagna is a traditional celebration of the chestnut. As the trees adorning the Muggio Valley blush with the hues of fall in mid-October\, this chestnut festival will bring locals and tourists together. \n\n\n\nEach year\, the Sagra della Castagna rotates to a different commune of the valley. This year\, the baton passes to Bruzella\, population 180. \n\n\n\nCopyright Ticino Turismo/swiss-image.ch/Remy Steinegger\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is the Sagra della Castagna?\n\n\n\nThe festival is an open invitation to indulge in the culinary and\, more importantly\, the cultural spectrum of the chestnut. Everyone gathers to enjoy a variety of chestnut-based dishes\, such as roasted chestnuts\, chestnut flour-based pastries\, and other delicious treats. There are traditional music and dance performances. \n\n\n\nWhen you hear the chestnuts crackle in the open fire\, consider that this day is more than a festival about a humble nut. One of the most significant aspects of the valley's identity is its deep connection to the chestnut tree. \n\n\n\nOur verdict: This fall\, Ticino Chestnut Brown will be painted all over the canvas of Switzerland's South. The Sagra della Castagna in Bruzella is an ideal celebration to immerse yourself in the local culture. We truly can't wait to attend the traditional chestnut festival and learn about the Muggio Valley's affection for its cherished nut... \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExplore Muggio Valley: Ticino’s Secret Destination with Local Charm

SUMMARY:Autumn Festival in Lugano (Festa d’autunno)
DESCRIPTION:Lugano is strikingly beautiful during any season. I am not just saying this; I have seen it with my own eyes. \n\n\n\nDuring autumn\, however\, the soft sun rays will light up the alleys and piazzas of this town at the foot of Monte Brè. The southern exposure makes temperatures perfect for outdoor gatherings such as the festa d'autunno\, the annual autumn festival in Lugano. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n"What's happening during Festa d'autunno in Lugano\," you ask?\n\n\n\nFor three days in early October\, Lugano is dishing out the best of local cuisine: risotto\, polenta\, chestnut dishes\, and much more. But even the best delicacies only taste half as good without a glass of local wine and a group of friends. And to top it off\, the town will be filled with folklore music. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMake sure to visit the market where local food products and handicrafts are available. Think alpine cheese\, homemade jelly\, wild honey\, or knitted products. They make for perfect souvenirs to bring back home - or even for Christmas presents. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur advice: Take part in the free guided tour by Lugano Tourism. They will show you the best architecture and sights that Lugano has to offer. \n\n\n\nSo\, there you have it: this is the essence of Lugano's autumn festival\, a celebration of the golden season and all the gifts it brings!\n\n\n\nMore information \n\n\n\n(Photographs copyright Ticino Tourism and Festival d'Autunno)

SUMMARY:Moon and Stars 2023: Lineup\, news\, and tickets
DESCRIPTION:Copyright Moon and Stars\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSummer in Switzerland's south wouldn't be the same without the Moon and Stars Festival. The annual open-air concert series celebrates live music under the starry sky. \n\n\n\nLike fireflies to the light\, Moon and Stars regularly brings music lovers to the charming Piazza Grande square in Locarno. The festival has been around for over 20 years and has become integral to Ticino's cultural scene. \n\n\n\nWe particularly love the concert stage setting: it is on a giant open-air plaza surrounded by colorful buildings. This is the perfect place to soak up Mediterranean summer vibes on a cloudless night with still-moderate Ticino temperatures. \n\n\n\nThe Moon and Stars concert series in Locarno covers mainly Pop and Rock genres with a focus on Italian-speaking acts. In 2023\, there will be 10 concerts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Moon and Stars Lineup 2023\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOneRepublicEros Ramazzotti and Joss StonePeter MaffayGölä\n\n\n\nBUY A PASS AT TICKETCORNER\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThree reasons to visit Moon and Stars Locarno 🎤1. SUMMARY:The legendary Montreux Jazz Festival is back in 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Montreux Jazz Festival has been around for over half a century\, but it is as strong as ever. For the 56th edition\, the organizers have curated a line-up to explore current sounds and celebrate timeless legends. \n\n\n\nThrough its venues and stages\, the Montreux Jazz Festival celebrates its legends\, honors its jazz roots\, and displays its passion for the trends of tomorrow. \n\n\n\nThe festival has its roots in Jazz\, Soul\, and Blues. But over time\, it has expanded to other genres. Along the way\, the MJF has shaped innovative music collaborations and bold artistic experiments. \n\n\n\nIn recent years\, the festival has been graced by the likes of Muse\, Radiohead\, Kendrick Lamar\, Pharrell Williams\, Ed Sheeran\, Alicia Keys\, Adele\, Lady Gaga\, Tyler The Creator\, Lizzo\, Rita Ora\, and many others\, who have paid homage to the legendary artists who have performed there in the past. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect at the Montreux Jazz Festival\n\n\n\nAs always\, Lake Geneva's festival will give a stage to young talents and established acts. And the program guide reads like a "who's who" of the music industry: Sir Elton John\, Sting\, Janelle Monáe\, Janet Jackson\, Lauryn Hill\, The Chemical Brothers\, Grace Carter\, and ZZ Top\, among many others. \n\n\n\nThis year\, each venue will be dedicated to one of the symbols. For instance\, the Auditorium Stravinski will focus on the timeless\, hosting legends with big personalities. On the other hand\, the intimate Montreux Jazz Club will showcase acts where time seems to stand still. And finally\, the Montreux Jayy Lab will give us a glimpse of the future by hosting the stars of tomorrow. \n\n\n\nWhat we like so much about the Montreux Jazz Festival is that more than half of the concerts are free. And for those who like to feel the vibes without paying the admission\, there will be plenty of food stands just outside the festival grounds. \n\n\n\nMore information and tickets \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBest Music Festivals in Switzerland in 2023 (Guide)Openair St. Gallen 2023Greenfield Openair 2023Moon and Stars 2023Stars in Town 2023Openair Lumnezia 2023Openair Gampel 2023ZÜRICH OPENAIR 2023
