Cyclists\, pedestrians and inline skaters have the streets fully on their own on those days – no cars allowed! \nWith drivers being on a "car diet" for a day\, slowUp Emmental-Oberaargau is one of the sections of the national scale event and will gather a part of the hundreds of thousands of the participants. \nIt is not a race but rather a big get-together for supporters of an active lifestyle. You can start the car-free route at any place along the way\, pick your own speed and go as far as you want to. Along the route\, you can stop at the different stations to try local Emmental delicacies and refreshments\, as well as to see what other surprises the event sponsors have in store for you. \nYou can bring your own bicycle or rent one on the spot (price starting from 30 francs). Join this slowUp anywhere along its route. There might also be other slowUp events closer to your home.

DESCRIPTION:From pop-up nibbles to a market for gourmands: the Soul Food Festival in Baden promises to please the foodies of the world. \nThis year's theme is healthy eating which nourishes the mind and body. The festival is spread throughout Baden\, taking place in five locations: during the entire festival\, find a pop-up restaurant at Bahnhofplatz just as you get off the train. Also\, Badener Gastronomie is taking place in the town's bars and restaurants throughout the entire five days. \nFrom Friday through Sunday\, there will be a street food market on Trafoplatz. And on the weekend of August 25 and 26\, there will be an additional gourmet market on Badstrasse. If you are planning to bring the kids\, Saturday will be your best bet as the scouts will be cooking over the open fire. \nSo\, there you have it! Take a look at the festival website and think about your cravings\, then choose which date to go.
