Truly\, the stone walls of the SpazioReale make for a perfect setting to display photography. And those who have never visited Monte Carasso could combine the exhibit with the nearby Tibetan bridge.\n\nWorld Press Photo depicts the world through the eyes of press photographers. Whenever a catastrophe occurs\, these brave men and women are there to capture humanity at its most vulnerable. Whether it is the Coronavirus pandemic\, the refugee crisis\, wars and conflicts\, societal concerns\, or protests\, press photographers are on the ground to chronicle the action and share their views with the rest of us.\n \nWorld Press Photo Exhibition 2021 showcases roughly 140 photographs. Among others\, it covers some important current issues such as the 50th anniversary of women's voting rights.\n\nThis year\, the exhibit is also honoring a work that illustrates the human toll of the Coronavirus pandemic. Mads Nissen's "The First Embrace" was shot on August 5\, 2020\, in Sao Paulo\, Brazil. The photograph shows Rosa Luzia Lunardi\, a senior citizen\, being embraced at her nursing home. To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the artist's death\, they have rolled out the latest in interactive museum technology. And what better setting to delve into history than the Castello di Sasso Corbaro?\n\n \nRaffaello 3D: this interactive museum brings the man of the hour to life\n\nInside the exhibition\, you will get to admire Renaissance architecture through a virtual tour of the Ideal City\, a realistic 3D model. Also\, there is an AR experience allowing you to render a particularly realistic image taken from one of the most symbolic paintings. Some of Raffaello's most renowned artworks are also animated.\n\nWe like the use of AR technology as it superimposes information onto paintings and displays. And we have good news for those who worry that this exhibit wants you to become an expert on Raffaello. Instead of going deep\, the museum's aim is to broaden your horizon on a wide range of topics.\n\nBoth children and adults (and those in between) will surely enjoy walking around the castle with a tablet PC. Apart from a virtual treasure hunt and other hands-on displays\, these AR tablets will animate Renaissance paintings. SUMMARY:PerBacco! is a grape harvest festival in Bellinzona
DESCRIPTION:This rather young grape harvest festival in Bellinzona has quickly established itself. \nNo wonder\, because the four-day PerBacco! festival offers just the right balance of entertainment and cultural exploration. Be it parades or concerts on the various stages\, the streets of Bellinzona's historic center will be filled with sights and sounds. \nPaying tribute to Bellinzona's long tradition in viticulture\, the program allows all ages to connect with the wine culture. Be it through guided tours or wine tastings\, PerBacco! is a great chance to learn about this important part of Swiss heritage. One event not to miss is the pressing of the grapes on Saturday. \nMore than two dozen wine producers will be offering their vintages for tastings. Among the vast selection\, we will be looking out for the local Bianco di Merlot by brothers Luca and Carlo Frasa. \n \nThe PerBacco! Market\nBellinzona has a regular Saturday market which we highly recommend. But on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday during the festival\, this outdoor market will be showcasing additional producers. Think booths selling everything from locally produced salami or jams to clothing\, handmade jewelry or greeting cards. \n- Friday from 5 PM until midnight\n- Saturday from 4 PM until midnight\n- Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM \n \nAbout the 2019 Photo Contest\nWhen you visit PerBacco!\, bring along your camera and capture the essence of Ticino's wine culture.
