SUMMARY:Jungkunst Art Exhibit (Winterthur)
DESCRIPTION:For their 10th anniversary\, the Jungkunst art event has commissioned no less than 25 young artists. From sculptors to street art\, this four-day event covers a wide range of artistic expression. \nI am particularly excited about the Container Museum\, an art gallery inside shipping containers. (Freitag brothers\, are you taking note?) I find it exceptional that this established art event features only original pieces. While it is a platform for young artists to be discovered\, it is just as much an opportunity for the public to purchase original art.\n  \nLinda Bernhard at Jungkunst\nAmong the more than two dozen artists is Linda Bernhard\, a life-long friend of mine. The Swiss collage artist is based in the UK\, so I have only been able to see her creations online – until now. Linda’s nostalgic creations take us back to times when Photoshop was a store selling photo equipment. Her collages are the product of pure handicraft\, thus standing out in today’s digital world. \n \nJungkunst is held at the former industrial halls of Sulzer in Winterthur\, and the organizers have more than a few highlights in store… Did I mention live music and slam poetry? \n(Photographs copyright by zVg Jungkunst – Michael Haug\, Winterthur and Linda Bernhard)
