For the 56th edition\, the organizers have curated a line-up to explore current sounds and celebrate timeless legends. \n\n\n\nThrough its venues and stages\, the Montreux Jazz Festival celebrates its legends\, honors its jazz roots\, and displays its passion for the trends of tomorrow. \n\n\n\nThe festival has its roots in Jazz\, Soul\, and Blues. But over time\, it has expanded to other genres. Along the way\, the MJF has shaped innovative music collaborations and bold artistic experiments. \n\n\n\nIn recent years\, the festival has been graced by the likes of Muse\, Radiohead\, Kendrick Lamar\, Pharrell Williams\, Ed Sheeran\, Alicia Keys\, Adele\, Lady Gaga\, Tyler The Creator\, Lizzo\, Rita Ora\, and many others\, who have paid homage to the legendary artists who have performed there in the past. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect at the Montreux Jazz Festival\n\n\n\nAs always\, Lake Geneva’s festival will give a stage to young talents and established acts. And the program guide reads like a “who’s who” of the music industry: Sir Elton John\, Sting\, Janelle Monáe\, Janet Jackson\, Lauryn Hill\, The Chemical Brothers\, Grace Carter\, and ZZ Top\, among many others. \n\n\n\nThis year\, each venue will be dedicated to one of the symbols. For instance\, the Auditorium Stravinski will focus on the timeless\, hosting legends with big personalities. On the other hand\, the intimate Montreux Jazz Club will showcase acts where time seems to stand still. And finally\, the Montreux Jayy Lab will give us a glimpse of the future by hosting the stars of tomorrow. \n\n\n\nWhat we like so much about the Montreux Jazz Festival is that more than half of the concerts are free.
