On May 1\, the annual apple blossom festival returns to Altnau\, a town in the middle of apple orchards. \n\n\n\nEnjoy a day of eating fresh apple dishes such as apple fritters. Drink fresh apple juice and hop onto a carriage for a ride across the countryside. There is also a designated apple hike through the town of Altnau and the surrounding fruit orchards. Many of the farmers will hold their own tastings and events. And for the ultimate Swiss spring experience\, the little ones will be able to ride on ponies! \n\n\n\nAltnau is a precinct in the canton of Thurgau. It can easily be reached by train\, and here is the timetable.
