SUMMARY:The Samurai Legend at the Bern Historical Museum
DESCRIPTION:Copyright Bernisches Historisches Museum/Christine Moor\n\n\n\nThe temporary exhibit The Samurai Legend in Bern is a rare opportunity to learn about samurai culture. \n\n\n\nThis unique opportunity is thanks to a special exhibit at the Bern Historical Museum. From the dawn of samurai to their role in popular culture\, more than 200 artifacts from a private collection give a comprehensive overview. The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller collection from Dallas\, Texas\, is also referred to as “The Samurai Collection”. \n\n\n\nThe Samurai Legend features arms and armor\, including weapons\, helmets\, masks\, and horse equipment. As if the displays were not fascinating enough\, a free audio guide adds even more depth to many of the items. Figures are brought to life thanks to insights by the curators. \n\n\n\nCopyright Bernisches Historisches Museum/Stefan Wermuth\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to visit The Samurai Legend in Bern\n\n\n\nThe Bern Historical Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
