72 budget friendly Switzerland summer breaks (Sponsored)

Coop Summer in Switzerland

Switzerland is a veritable playground for nature lovers.

It's the high mountains, deep valleys, roaring waterfalls and crystal-clear lakes that attract millions of hikers and water sports enthusiasts to Switzerland each summer.

And in the midst of all of this natural beauty, there are 72 hotels waiting to host those Newly Swissed readers who have always wanted to get out there! But maybe it seemed like a daunting task to find a good hotel within reach of a bucket list experience? Or you may have always wanted to visit those Instagrammable lakes or lookout points but were never sure where to stay nearby?

Switzerland summer breaks on a budget

Like every summer for the past several years, two Swiss institutions have partnered up to offer a suite of attractive Switzerland summer packages. Available in two levels of comfort, each individual package comes with the following benefits: two nights in a three-star hotel or a four-star hotel, inclusive of breakfast and one evening meal.

This cooperation between Coop and Switzerland Tourism, the marketing organization which has sponsored this article, has been very popular in recent years. The reason? It's an offer you simply cannot refuse! I mean, packages as low as 179 francs per person for two nights in a four-star hotel (double room occupancy)? That's a steal for Switzerland.

The pricing at a glance:

  • 129 francs per person, sharing a double room in a category C hotel (up to three stars)
  • 179 francs per person, sharing a double room in a category B hotel (two to four stars)
  • 229 francs per person, sharing a double room in a category A hotel (three to five stars)

The 72 hotels highlighted in the 2018 Coopzeitung PDF brochure are just as diverse as Switzerland's landscapes and cities. From typically Swiss hotels in the mountains to design hotels in cities and historic hotels with spas to write home about... There is bound to be a hotel that fits your style and craving.

The brochure also lists 61 excursion tips, from bicycle routes to festivals and even a visit of an alpine dairy farm. So, there you have it: 133 reasons to discover Switzerland this summer and check a highlight off your bucket list!

Book by calling the free number 0800 100 200 or by visiting the special landing page which lists all the available hotels.
