For two weeks this November, Zürich will be getting a taste of the roaring twenties.

That’s because CHICAGO, one of the most successful and wildly popular musical, is coming to town! Believe it or not, but this musical gem has been playing on Broadway for two decades – without interruption. The story of Roxie Hart, a feisty Vaudeville dancer, is set in 1920’s Chicago.

“And all that Jazz…”

Maybe it is the protagonist, her sidekick Velma Kelly, the murky gangster theme or the catchy songs… This musical has left an impression on me when I saw it the first time around! So without hesitation, I bought my ticket for this revival in Zürich. I am glad that this Tony Award winning musical will be performed in English, because “All that Jazz” sounds so much better than “Dieser ganze Jass”…
