What does a violine and a car shop have in common? Not much, until now: On Saturday, March 8, Swiss violinist Deborah Marchetti is going to hold a classical performance at Zürich car shop “Bermuda Garage.”
“It’s fun to perform in unconventional spaces such as power plants or high-rise bars!” Marchetti launched her urban Musik im Rausch event series in 2012, and the automotive shop seems like a natural extension.
She is currently getting ready for the upcoming Zürich violin concert, and we can only imagine what the violin, piano (Gregor Müller) and accordion (Christophe Dufaux) tunes to the works of Astor Piazzolla and Béla Bartòk will sound like… Especially since these rooms are used to roaring engines and welding machines during the day!
The moderate admission fee should compell any friend of classical music and those who enjoy urban life to come out and give Deborah Marchetti a listen! (student fee: CHF 18, get your tickets at the door)
