science+fiction is a first of its kind festival in Basel, focusing on science communication. It brings the latest research together with art together using different media.
From writing music to mimicking human voices and helping in decision making, artificial intelligence is becoming an integral part of our lives. To open up the discussion further, the Festival science+fiction 2017 is inviting scientists, developers, philosophers and artists to come together on a common platform.
The organizers promise some thought provoking science fiction movies (shown in English), as well as a workshop to build your own talking robot! Finally, an inspiring exhibit of contemporary art. The international artists invited to the festival have programmed small fish robots and even dared to develop bots which go shopping in the ominous darknet.
