Everybody cut loose! Straight from London's West End, we get to see a new production of Footloose - The Musical.
The immensely successful dance film is even more popular as a musical. Audiences near and far can't have enough of the story about a dance-loving teenager. When Ren MacCormack moves from Chicago to a small town, he suddenly faces a new reality: loud music and public dancing are banned for minors. By way of throwing a giant party, the protagonist thinks he has found a loophole in the system... It's teenage rebellion to the max!
When Footloose (the film) was released in 1984, it became an instant blockbuster. For months, the songs dominated the airwaves and charts. And they are still popular today: "Holding Out for a Hero," "Almost Paradise," "Let's Hear It for the Boy." And, of course, "Footloose!"

The dancers and musical crew of the current production are simply amazing. Each dancer actually plays an instrument, too, therefore becoming a part of the band. The hairdos and props add to the atmosphere, which is a sort of time tunnel into the 1980s.
