Gio Ponti, Max Bill, Eames or Le Corbusier: If these names ring a bell, you might be headed to Geneva soon.
That’s because for two days this November, the stunning Pavillon Sicli in Geneva will be beamed back to the 20th century. As part of the first edition of the Salon du Design, 26 of the best showrooms of Switzerland and Europe will be highlighting their accessories, furniture, lighting and vintage creations.
In short: It will be mid century design galore! Design enthusiasts will be dreaming about placing these exquisite pieces in their own four walls. Until they realize that this is a possibility, because the items are actually for sale. A majority of exhibitors are from Switzerland, so you could always set up another “date” to see your piece of affection before handing over that credit card…
Take tram 15 to the stop “Jacques Pictet-Thellusson”. Admission is just five francs.
