The theme of the 4th annual TEDxBasel conference will be “Borders & Frontiers”.
This popular event will feature ten inspiring speakers and talented performers who have “Ideas Worth Spreading”. Expect to learn new things from the fields of design, science, sports, technology, leadership and more.
Speakers from all walks of life will join the TEDxBasel lineup, including Gabriela Friel, an 11 year old inspiring others through her love of unicycling. Also, an assistant professor of the University of Basel, Prisca Liberali, with groundbreaking research on organoids and how these self organized stem cell systems can potentially provide insights into development and diseases as never before.
In addition to the live talks, this conference will feature a popup talk, an original TEDxBasel initiative that was launched for the TEDxBasel conference in 2016. This gives conference attendees the unique opportunity to sign up and give a short, three minute talk sharing their own ideas. The best talk will be selected by fellow audience members to go onstage to be presented alongside the official roster of TEDxBasel speakers – on the day of the conference!
Here is the TEDxBasel schedule for May 26:
10:30 – Doors open
11:00 – 3-min pop-up talks
13:00 – Session I
14:30 – Break
