Capturing and sharing the history of St. Gallen in a visually engaging way is the main objective of the non-profit MEMORIA project.
Starting with locations in the city, Marco Krapf set out to re-take more than 50 photographs of various locations as they are today. On the MEMORIA website and within the free iPhone app, each photograph is displayed alongside a historical image. This allows visitors to virtually explore familiar spots in St. Gallen and compare how they have changed over time.
