Craving for Vietnamese phở in Zurich?

Right up there with raclette shacks and upscale sit-down restaurants, there are many excellent Vietnamese restaurants in Zurich. Vietnamese cuisine in Zurich has sure come of age in the last few years, growing from a handful of cafes to a startlingly diverse collection of themed bistros, quirky cafes, and phở parlors.

Vietnamese restaurants in Zurich use fresh and local ingredients.

Some even boast stylish Vietnamese interiors for added authenticity. From classic dishes such as phở and bánh mì to unusual options like hủ tiếu, Vietnamese restaurants in Zurich offer a wide range of delicacies (although they often come at Zurich prices).

I think Vietnamese phở is one of the best dishes for hangover recovery. Chả giò (spring rolls) is a nice crispy appetizer to start off the meal. And if you would like to try more flavor, nún chả is a nice sweet and sour dip for rice noodles with a great mix of vegetables and meat. Many dishes are based on rice, which could be presented in a nice bowl of rice noodles, as a meal wrapped in rice paper, or just as a rice bowl with the main dish to go with.

Here is our ultimate foodie guide to Vietnamese restaurants in Zurich:

Saigon Vietnamese Home Kitchen

Saigon's interior and menu recently got a facelift. At large, shared tables, you can dine casually among other foodies. Treat yourself to the fresh buffet or order authentic, "no MSG" Vietnamese dishes à la carte instead.

Their phở is the best in Zurich, and the clear beef broth is so good that we will usually drink it out of the big bowl...

Pho 50

Pho 50 is a Vietnamese restaurant in District 4. When it comes to their phở dish, the noodles are good, and the soup is just fine, too. We would have loved to award a 4 out of 5 rating if it had not been for the service. Overall, we will give it a rating of 3.5 out of 5.

Co Chin Chin

Located just off bustling Langstrasse, Co Chin Chin features a bright and modern interior design. The dishes are fresh and tasty, and they will optionally offer vegan and gluten-free options. When you total up a phở dish (24.50 francs) with a beverage such as a lemongrass iced tea (5.50 francs), you will end up with a tab on the pricey side.

ASIAWAY

Located in Oerlikon, ASIAWAY combines Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese cuisine. The staff is very friendly, and the food is good. A bowl of phở costs around 25 francs - about normal for Zurich. During lunchtime, they offer a buffet with freshly cooked dishes.

We always enjoy the wide selection of healthy vegetarian, meat, and seafood dishes. The restaurant's beauty is that it is right next to an Asian food store.
