Dim sum, pork belly or yakitori are just a few delicacies you can expect at this summer’s Street Food Festival.
For their eighth edition, the organizers have put on their creative thinking hats to come up with some really cool ideas. For one, there will be a special area dedicated to Korean food (look out for the “Korean Food Court”). From bibimbab to gimbap, from daggaji to mandu and Korean beer: It’s what we call true Seoul Food!
Shift into Discovery Mode at the Street Food Festival in Zürich!
For a serving of Swissness, head to the Street Food Festival during the very first week in May. There will be a Swiss chalet village with specialties from the Alps. For the kids, there is a fun town where they can learn to juggle, do crafts or read books.
And since the Street Food Festival is happening during FOOD ZURICH, a designated area is going to play with this year’s concept of “Sharing”. Expect a variety of culinary events and workshops for the foodies among us. Oh, and there will be a giant circus tent serving as a rain proof dining hall.
This summer’s festival is taking place on the vacant lot of the future Hardturm stadium. More than 100 street food vendors will take over the area, creating it a food mecca during several weeks in early summer. New signage will help you navigate the food stalls, indicating vegetarian options or desserts. Opening times: Mon through Thu from 5 to 10 PM, Fri from 5 to 11 PM, Sat from 11 AM to midnight, Sun from 11 AM to 10 PM.
