Looking through the work of Swiss photographer Christian Aeberhard, it is hard to choose only a handful of images to share.
I have recently come across his portfolio and was fascinated about the immediacy of his photography right away. What I love is his selection of objects and the way he plays with saturation. And the amazing realism in these Alpine photographs has the potential of producing snow blindness in the viewer - no kidding! Christian Aeberhard has a keen eye for details, patterns, color and structure.
Even though skiing was not invented in Switzerland, it has been a favorite pastime of the Swiss for over a century. In his series "hinauf & herunter" ("up & down"), Christian Aeberhard has captured the true essence of Swiss skiing culture in three of Switzerland's classic regions: Klosters/Davos, Flims/Laax and Grindelwald.
So, are you ready to hit the slopes?
