German speaking people love statistics. With 63.7% of the Swiss population speaking German, there is always a flurry of numbers to be read in newspapers, heard on the radio or seen on television.
A few common numbers are: 7'866'500 (the population of Switzerland as of 2010), 4 (the number of official languages), 26 (the number of cantons), and 5 (the number of countries that border Switzerland).
I thought it would be interesting to post a few lesser known numbers, so here are 10 more interesting Swiss statistics.
Enjoy!
What's your take on these statistics? Surprised? Not surprised at all?
Who ate my chocolate?…
Probably my husband, because I swear he eats about 3x more than the average Swiss!!! LOL
Very funny, Lori! Did you take your husband to the Salon du Chocolat in Zürich last weekend?
