Swiss cats have some guts! Most live outdoors - and when they want to come indoors, they first have to negotiate a scary cat ladder along the building...
Ready for a little thought experiment? Imagine for a moment that you were a regular Swiss tabby cat. Say you have just returned from mousing the nearby fields and wanted to present your bounty to your caretaker. The only thing separating you from that fourth floor apartment is a super long and steep ladder... Would you climb it?
The Swiss do love their (outdoor) cats, as is evident by the myriad of cat ladders attached to their houses and apartment buildings. Over the years, we have collected dozens of photographs, and here is a peek at our collection of Swiss cat ladders!
These cat ladders are still passable:
They're getting higher and higher...
Is this cat ladder legal, though? Scary!
Takes some guts!
This one's not for cats with a height phobia...
This one at Limmathof Baden is from the category "freestyle"!
And what in the world is this?!?
